Rainaissance Innovation Labs
Dumo Dede, founder of Renaissance Innovation Labs labels themselves as an innovation labs and not a technology hub, he said their mission and vision is to re-imagine Africa in today’s world of rapid technology development, find the smartest people and provide them with the right tools for success and generate innovative solutions for industries and governments. While also stating that they focus on the problem solving and not the solution itself.
Renaissance Innovation Labs plans to commence a five-month fellowship that pairs intermediate developers with senior developers, industry veterans and other experts to learn and collaborate on projects.
The 3 areas they are looking to focus on and provide solutions include: education (rural education), construction and commerce. They plan in 2-5 years to have a campus that can hold 50 students and the place would be a hub for creation of solutions.
