In line with the Rivers State Government’s commitment to the youth, Her Excellency, Dr Mrs Ipalibo Harry Banigo today provided funds to outstanding beneficiaries of the just concluded skills training for youths in Degema, Asari-Toru and Akuku-Toru Local Government Areas.
The funds are expected to ease the burden of rent, and procurement of requisite tools for their trade.
Represented by the Secretary of Degema Local Government Council, Nicholas Harry, Her Excellency urged the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise the funds in order to achieve optimal productivity.
Her Excellency had earlier initiated a follow up supervision plan to ascertain the various challenges faced by the beneficiaries and ways in solving them.
The goal is to ensure that the skills acquired are effectively utilised.
