Rivers Muslims cooperate with Governor Wike,  inaugurate Monitoring Committee to enforce State Government’s Directive on Coronavirus

In order to ensure that Muslims in Rivers State comply with the directive of the Rivers State Government banning open worship, the Rivers State Muslim Community has set up a Muslim COVID-19 Monitoring Team.

The Rivers Muslim COVID-19 Monitoring Team has State Islamic Leader, Alh Nasir Uhor as Chairman, while Special Adviser to Governor Wike on School Sport, Barrister Mohammad Okiri as Secretary.

Other members of the Rivers Muslim COVID-19 Monitoring Team are:.ABDURRAZAQ DIEPRIYE-SOLE ADMINISTRATOR STATE MUSLIM PILGRIMS WELFARE BOARD ,ARCH.ABDURRAZAQ ECHEYA, CHIEF IMAM IDREES KATAYE , CHIEF IMAM ABDULATEEF ABDUSALAM, CHIEF IMAM ABDULHAMEED OLANREWAJU KHALIFA MURTALA BAMIDELE SULEMAN, ALH.QASM CHIMA OKACHI
and ALH.IBRAHIM MAISUNDU BELI.

Others are: ABDULSAMIU ABDULSALAM, ALH.DAUD PENNEUL and IMAM IBRAHIM YAALO.

State Islamic Leader, Alh Nasir Uhor as Chairman, while Special Adviser to Governor Wike on School Sport, Barrister Mohammad Okiri as Secretary told the Muslim Faithful that the decision was taken after the meeting with Governor Wike and the need to promote the health of all residents of the state.

Sole Administrator of Rivers State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Diepriye urged Muslims to use sanitizers at all times.

He also distributed information flyers to Muslim Leaders on how to present COVID-19.
